About the Artist

I'm Anna Berends van Loenen.

A mixed media artist from Zaltbommel, the Netherlands.

My studio is full of stacks of paper, found materials, and things I picked up somewhere and couldn't leave behind. 

I work intuitively, layer by layer. Paint, paper, traces of nature. I add, remove, and let go until something reveals itself.

There is always more happening than you see at first glance.

Creativity starts with curiosity. I truly believe that.

Not the kind of curiosity that disappears quickly, but the kind that stays.
